Artificial Turf Installation in Queen Creek

Queen Creek grew up around a farm stop. In 1919 C. H. Rittenhouse formed the Queen Creek Farms Company and built a railroad stop to ship his produce. The stop was called Rittenhouse, and for decades the area was cotton, citrus and wide open fields.

We install artificial turf at homes, HOAs and businesses across Queen Creek and the East Valley. Installed turf runs $6.00 to $12.00 per square foot installed. Minimums do apply. We come to your property, measure, and give you a free estimate.

From Rittenhouse to one of the fastest growing towns in Arizona

The town takes its name from the creek, which was first called Picket Post Creek and was later renamed for the Silver Queen Mine. Most of the year it is a dry wash. Cotton was picked by hand here until a cotton gin arrived in the 1920s, and citrus, pecans and vegetables are still grown today. The old Rittenhouse Elementary School, built in 1925, still stands and is on the National Register of Historic Places.

Queen Creek incorporated on September 5, 1989, to hold on to its rural way of life while it grew. And grow it did. The town counted 59,519 people in the 2020 census, and estimates put it well over 80,000 today. It now reaches across the county line into Pinal County.

All that growth means a lot of newer homes, and a lot of backyards that are still dirt or gravel when the keys get handed over. That is a great time to put turf exactly where you want it. Where the kids play. Where the dog runs. Where the family ends up on a Saturday. Desert landscape everywhere else, so you are not paying to water grass you never use.

From brand new neighborhoods to the farms that are still working, and out to San Tan Valley, Gilbert and Mesa, we are proud to work in Queen Creek and across the East Valley.

What we install in Queen Creek

  • Newer homes with a bare backyard. If your backyard is still dirt or gravel, there is no old lawn to tear out first. We plan the layout with you, build the base and install.
  • Front and backyard lawn conversions. For homeowners who are done paying to water grass through an East Valley summer.
  • Backyard putting greens. Designed and installed for practice at home, from a single cup to a larger practice green.
  • Pet areas and dog runs. Up to 3 inches of base material graded to drain, no weed barrier fabric in pet areas, and pet infill options including antimicrobial infill. See our pet turf page.
  • HOA, multifamily and commercial common areas. Entries, medians, amenity spaces and courtyards, with a free HOA submittal package for board approval.

Why Queen Creek homeowners make the switch

Water is the big one. Turf eliminates routine lawn irrigation, and keeping grass alive through an East Valley summer takes a lot of it. For the full math on what a grass lawn costs to keep alive in Arizona, read The Real Numbers Behind Your Lawn Upgrade.

Then there is the time. No mowing, no fertilizer, no overseeding, and no patching dead spots every summer. Turf does need a little care: a rinse now and then, a brush on high traffic areas, and regular cleanup in pet areas. It is far less work than keeping real grass alive in the desert.

Monsoon season matters here too. Every install sits on up to 3 inches of base material graded so water drains down and away. For storm season care tips, read Monsoon and Your Turf.

And yes, turf gets hot in direct summer sun. Shade, cooling infill options, lighter fiber choices and a quick rinse with the hose all help. We also check for energy efficient Low-E windows that can reflect concentrated sun onto turf, and we will walk your yard and show you where sun exposure matters.

Water incentives in Queen Creek

A rebate is a nice bonus, but the real savings with turf is never paying to water grass again. The Town of Queen Creek runs a residential turf conversion incentive for replacing grass with water smart landscaping. Its rules allow some artificial turf in a converted yard, as long as the whole landscaped area still meets the Town's plant canopy requirement. Funding comes in rounds and has filled up before, so check the Town of Queen Creek turf conversion incentive page for current status, and get written approval before any grass comes out. Your HOA approval is separate, and we can help with that part.

Frequently asked questions

How much does artificial turf cost in Queen Creek?

$6.00 to $12.00 per square foot installed. Minimums do apply. Putting greens run $9.00 to $20.00 per square foot installed, with a $2,500 project minimum.

My backyard is still dirt. Can you install turf on it?

Yes. With no old lawn to remove, we plan the layout with you, build the base with up to 3 inches of base material graded to drain, and install. It is a great time to put turf exactly where you want it.

Will my HOA approve artificial turf?

Most boards want to see the product data sheet, the specification and photos of comparable work before they approve. We put that HOA submittal package together for you at no charge.

Can I put turf in a dog yard?

Yes, and pet areas are a big part of what we install. We build them on up to 3 inches of base material graded to drain, skip weed barrier fabric in pet areas, and offer pet infill options including antimicrobial infill.

Does Queen Creek's incentive cover artificial turf?

In part. The Town's residential turf conversion incentive allows a limited amount of artificial turf, and the whole landscaped area still has to meet the plant canopy requirement. Funding comes in rounds, so check the Town's current status and get written approval before any grass comes out.

Do you serve San Tan Valley, Gilbert and Mesa?

Yes. We install throughout the East Valley, and anywhere in Arizona for the right project.
