YOUR
QUESTIONS
ANSWERED

Our Synthetic Grass System is not much different from natural grass. Urine washes through the system into the Drainage layer the crushed rock sub-base below. Drainage options are available. Waste can be removed using your current process, only it tends to be a lot easier with artificial grass installed by Arizona Turf Masters.

Normal Scooping duties, and hosing it off once in a while with an antimicrobial spray, and if you are using our Zeofill Rain is usually sufficient. Another option is to fill a garden feeder with ‘Simple Green’, attach to a hose and spray your synthetic dog run to disinfect and eliminate odors.

We can help you during the install with the right choices in infill and turf. If your turf is older it may need to be replaced if correct infill, drainage layer and maintenance wasn’t done properly.

Dogs absolutely love it! Many dogs will avoid gravel and cement. Some people do try and train their dogs not to use the turf. While others specifically build dog runs out of artificial turf because it is so easy to maintain and the dog even stays cleaner longer.

Some dogs will try to dig through anything. Our dog run turf is extremely durable with a double-coated backing making it almost impossible to tear - but there can be exceptions. We recommend putting extra border stakes around the perimeter of the dog run to discourage dogs from digging.

Saturate the synthetic turf with water. Immediately follow with a soft bristled push broom. Brush with the grain of the fibers. Fibers tend to lean more towards one direction than the other. Holding the push broom snug against your belt, start at one end and walk the broom to the opposite side. Don't use brush strokes. This should remove most of the hair.
