Artificial Turf Installation in Chandler
Chandler started with a veterinarian and a lot of land. Dr. Alexander John Chandler, Arizona's first veterinary surgeon, built an 18,000 acre ranch here and opened the townsite office on May 17, 1912. A year later the Hotel San Marcos opened its doors with the Vice President of the United States among the guests.

From ostrich feathers to Ocotillo
Early Chandler made its money on the farm. Cotton was the big crop, and for a while ostriches were too. Their feathers decorated the women's fashions of the day, and top quality plumes sold for as much as $250 a pound. The ostriches are long gone from the fields, but the city still celebrates them each spring at the Ostrich Festival at Tumbleweed Park.
The town incorporated in 1920 with Dr. Chandler as its first mayor, and it has been growing ever since. Downtown is still home to the historic San Marcos. Andersen Springs and Twelve Oaks have the mature trees and established streets of central Chandler. Down south, Ocotillo wraps around its lakes and golf course, Fulton Ranch homes look out over Fulton Ranch Lake, and Warner Ranch and Old Stone Ranch sit close to the Loop 202.
What a lot of those homes share is a lawn that drinks water all summer and still browns at the edges. Families want green where it counts. Where the kids play after school. Where the dog does laps. Where everybody ends up on a Friday night once the sun goes down. So we put turf where it earns its keep and leave the rest to the desert.
From downtown to Ocotillo, and out to Gilbert, Sun Lakes and Tempe, we are proud to work in Chandler and across the East Valley.

- Front and backyard lawn conversions. For homeowners who are done paying to water grass through an East Valley summer.

- Backyard putting greens. Designed and installed for practice at home, from a single cup to a larger practice green.
- Pet areas and dog runs. Up to 3 inches of base material graded to drain, no weed barrier fabric in pet areas, and pet infill options including antimicrobial infill. See our pet turf page.

Why Chandler homeowners make the switch
Water is the big one. Turf eliminates routine lawn irrigation, and keeping grass alive through an East Valley summer takes a lot of it. For the full math on what a grass lawn costs to keep alive in Arizona, read The Real Numbers Behind Your Lawn Upgrade.
Then there is the time. No mowing, no fertilizer, no overseeding, and no patching dead spots every summer. Turf does need a little care: a rinse now and then, a brush on high traffic areas, and regular cleanup in pet areas. It is far less work than keeping real grass alive in the desert.
Monsoon season matters here too. Every install sits on up to 3 inches of base material graded so water drains down and away. For storm season care tips, read Monsoon and Your Turf.
And yes, turf gets hot in direct summer sun. Shade, cooling infill options, lighter fiber choices and a quick rinse with the hose all help. We also check for energy efficient Low-E windows that can reflect concentrated sun onto turf, and we will walk your yard and show you where sun exposure matters.
Water rebates in Chandler
A rebate is a nice bonus, but the real savings with turf is never paying to water grass again. Chandler's residential grass removal rebate pays to replace grass with low-water landscaping, and the city is clear that areas converted to artificial turf do not qualify. You can still use both: take the rebate on a desert landscape section, and put turf where you want usable green space. Chandler requires a Notice to Proceed, with before photos, before any grass comes out, so apply first through the City of Chandler residential rebates page, and we will help you plan the layout.

My backyard is still dirt. Can you install turf on it?
Yes. With no old lawn to remove, we plan the layout with you, build the base with up to 3 inches of base material graded to drain, and install. It is a great time to put turf exactly where you want it.
Will my HOA approve artificial turf?
Most boards want to see the product data sheet, the specification and photos of comparable work before they approve. We put that HOA submittal package together for you at no charge.
Can I put turf in a dog yard?
Yes, and pet areas are a big part of what we install. We build them on up to 3 inches of base material graded to drain, skip weed barrier fabric in pet areas, and offer pet infill options including antimicrobial infill.
Does Chandler's water rebate cover artificial turf?
No. Chandler's residential grass removal program states that areas converted to artificial turf do not qualify. Many homeowners take the rebate on a desert landscape section and pay for turf where they want usable green space. Chandler requires a Notice to Proceed with before photos before any grass comes out.
